Small Axe Woodcrafts​

Creative woodcraft workshops; tools, materials and tutoring in our mobile woodcraft workshop. Using traditional hand tools and locally felled timber, take part in craft projects; willow wand carving, bamboo windmills, stool making , hand carving designs into hardwood.

In our Speaker's Corner we are ​hosting a series of talks, presentations, workshops, and panel discussions on leadership, confidence, healthy eating, race & identity, cultural activism, poetry, and more. We are using the Speaker’s Corner to programme a diverse lineup of speakers and presenters from within the academy & wider community, along with artists, activists, and young people. 

Celebrate innovators and change-makers from across the African diaspora in our new Thinkers and Inventors space where guests can play, create, and design. Come and explore ideas around digital technologies, discover stories through exhibition, and learn skills through making. 

Bicycle Print Press

​Mobile printing Bike- mobile press originated as part of a cultural exchange project with Mexico City.  The bike is a recreation of a mobile print bicycle that visits South American communities to broaden their access to printmaking facilities.
